TechHQ ("we", "us", or "our") provides NetMode ("the App") to help you view mobile network information and open Android network settings. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
The App does not require an account. Its network features process available SIM and mobile network information on your device, including carrier names, SIM slots and subscription identifiers, network type, signal strength, service status, and connection status. The App does not send these readings to a developer-operated server.
The App stores preferences locally, such as language, theme, haptic feedback, remembered SIM selection, permission prompt state, and rating prompt history. Where purchases are available, it also stores purchase verification information locally to remember your entitlement.
The App's network features do not access your contacts, messages, call history, phone number, IMEI, or IMSI. The App does not request precise location permission. Advertising services may estimate your approximate location from your IP address, as described below.
Phone state (READ_PHONE_STATE): Allows the App to display available SIM, mobile network, and signal information. You may deny or revoke this permission, but related features will be limited. It is not used to read calls or messages.
Network access and network state (INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to check connectivity and support advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and Google Play purchases.
Vibration (VIBRATE): Provides optional haptic feedback.
Google Play billing (BILLING): Supports in-app purchases and purchase restoration where available.
Advertising ID: Google advertising and analytics components may access the device's advertising identifier when available and permitted by your settings.
Network mode changes take place through Android system settings and depend on your device and carrier. The App does not need access to the content of your communications to provide this function.
The App includes Google services that process information outside your device:
Google AdMob: Collects information such as IP address, advertising or other device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic data to deliver and measure advertisements and prevent fraud. IP addresses may be used to estimate approximate location. Ad personalization depends on applicable settings and consent choices.
Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects app usage events, app instance identifiers, and device and app information to help us understand usage and improve the App.
Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports, stack traces, installation identifiers, and device and app information to help diagnose reliability problems.
Google User Messaging Platform: Processes privacy choices and consent-related information to present and manage advertising privacy messages where applicable.
These identifiers are not necessarily anonymous. The information processed by these services depends on their configuration, your device settings, and applicable privacy choices.
Learn more:
Where offered, purchases are processed by Google Play. The App receives purchase information, such as the product identifier, purchase token, purchase status, and signature, to verify, acknowledge, and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card details. Google handles payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.
A remove-ads purchase disables advertisements in the App; it does not automatically disable analytics or crash reporting.
If you choose to send feedback, the App opens your email application with your message and the App and Android versions. You can review and edit the email before sending it. If you send it, we receive your email address and the information you include and use them to respond and investigate your request.
Information is processed by the Google services described above for advertising, analytics, diagnostics, consent management, and purchases. Support messages are also handled by the email service used for support. We may disclose information we hold when legally required or when necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of our services.
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their privacy terms and applicable safeguards.
Local preferences and cached purchase information remain until you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. Doing so does not delete Google's purchase records or information already received by third-party services. Data processed by Google is retained according to the relevant service's policies and configured retention settings. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.
You can:
Revoke the phone permission in Android's app settings.
Disable remembered SIM selection and optional haptic feedback within the App.
Clear local App data through Android Settings or uninstall the App.
Revisit advertising privacy choices using the App's advertising privacy option when it is available.
Manage advertising identifiers and personalization through your Android or Google privacy settings; available controls vary by device and Android version.
Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, or to exercise other rights available under applicable law.
Advertising privacy choices do not automatically switch off Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. The App currently has no separate in-app switch for those services. We may need information to identify records relevant to a privacy request; we may be unable to associate device-based records with your email address.
We use the protections provided by Android and the integrated service providers to help protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
The App is a general-purpose network utility and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
The App may open Google Play, Android settings, an email application, or external websites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or our data practices. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
