Karen is a consultant in the area of improving hiring results for business, including job descriptions, job posting, interview preparation, conducting interviews, on-boarding and retention.
Her experience comes from almost thirty years as an administrator in post-secondary education. She has always been curious about the business world and have learned much from interactions with organizations over the years.
Clint Hartog
Born on a small ranch on the prairies, Clint Hartog loves our rugged landscape and backyard we call home. Bringing over a decade of experience in marketing and business development to the table. Currently serving as the General Sales Manager at Golden West, Clint has spent years honing skills in radio and online marketing consultancy, helping local businesses maximize their advertising strategies.
With a background in non-profit leadership and community engagement, Clint has a unique perspective on building successful ventures from the ground up. His diverse experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the intricacies of business growth and customer engagement.
Clint is committed to sharing his expertise with others and is passionate about empowering businesses to thrive in today's competitive landscape. He believes in the power of customer feedback as a vital tool for shaping marketing strategies and driving business success.
Cyril Amoyen
With a degree in Marketing from The University of Regina, I bring a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise to the table. Over the past two years, I have been a valuable asset at Golden West, where I initially served as a Marketing Coordinator before seamlessly transitioning into an Account Management role.
During my tenure as a Marketing Coordinator, I honed my skills in digital marketing, working closely with various digital platforms to execute effective advertising campaigns. This hands-on experience provided me with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in the digital landscape.
Recognized for my ability to cultivate strong client relationships, I was entrusted with the responsibility of Account Management. Leveraging my background in digital marketing, I have successfully spearheaded initiatives that have significantly contributed to client satisfaction and business growth.
My proficiency extends across a spectrum of digital marketing practices, including website development, crafting comprehensive brand guidelines, and producing compelling video content. Moreover, I possess extensive expertise in orchestrating campaigns across social media platforms and Google, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.

Wendy Swann
Wendy retired from teaching in 2010 following 30+ wonderful years as a high school teacher. Most of her career was spent at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School working in the Resource room and then the regular classroom. She became a volunteer at the Welcome Centre in 2010 and has been a member of the board since 2016. Her husband and her have travelled extensively in Canada visiting every province and 2 of the 3 territories. Their other expeditions have taken them to various countries in Europe. It was a privilege to be part of the Cultural Intelligence Centre’s intensive 4 day workshop in 2023. Her work with newcomers has given her a much broader perspective on the world.
Deanna Baje
Deanna has been with the Welcome Centre since 2013, and has served previously as one of the original SWIS workers and as the Local Immigration Program Coordinator. Deanna was instrumental in designing services for SWIS in a primarily rural setting, the first program of it's kind in Canada. Deanna is a tireless advocate for newcomers, and when not at the office, Deanna enjoys spending time with her friends, sister, and her nephews.
