# TickTacker Privacy Policy
**Last updated:** August 4, 2026
TickTacker (“we”, “us”) is a family money-tracking app. This policy describes what information the app collects and how it is used.
## Information we collect
### On your device
Kid names, balances, activity history, notes, item catalogs, and optional photos you attach when logging activity are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage.
### Household cloud sync (optional)
If you create or join a household with an invite code, we sync household data to our cloud service (Supabase) so invited family members stay up to date. That may include:
- Child names and profile appearance
- Balances and ledger activity (amounts, dates, action types)
- Activity notes
- Optional photos attached to ledger entries
- Member display names and household roles
Household sync uses an anonymous session on the device. You do not create a password account.
### Product analytics
We collect limited product analytics to understand how the app is used and to find reliability problems. Analytics include a persistent device identifier stored in the Keychain, a session identifier, your household identifier and role when you are in a household, event names, timestamps, app version, and device OS version.
Events also carry non-identifying properties describing the interaction, such as the type of action taken, whether a note or photo was attached, which screen a search or refresh happened on, counts of kids and items, and diagnostic details when something fails (for example an error category and how long a sync took).
Analytics **do not** include child names, free-text notes, item names, search terms, photo contents, or exact monetary amounts. Where the size of an amount is useful, only a coarse range is recorded (for example “1 to 5”), never the value itself.
When your device is offline, analytics events are stored on the device and sent once a connection is available.
### Feedback
If you send feedback from Settings, we receive your message text, device identifier, app version, and OS version so we can respond and improve the product.
## How we use information
- Provide and sync household features you choose to enable
- Operate, maintain, and improve TickTacker
- Understand product usage (analytics)
- Respond to support and feedback
## Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Household data is shared only with members you invite into your household. We use infrastructure providers (including Supabase) to host sync, analytics, and feedback data under contractual safeguards.
## Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it. Cloud household data remains while the household exists or until you leave/delete the household. Analytics and feedback are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above.
## Your choices
- Stay in solo mode to keep data on-device only (no household sync)
- Leave or delete a household to stop cloud sync for that membership
- Delete all profiles and data from Settings
- Contact us to request deletion of feedback you submitted
## Children
TickTacker is intended for parents and caregivers. Kid devices may join a household in a view-only role for their own profile. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children for marketing or advertising.
