BetterDad (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS app (“App”).
We do not store or retain any personal information, conversation text, or screenshots on our servers.
When you use BetterDad:
User-Provided Content: You may upload a screenshot or enter text from a conversation with your child. This content is processed in real time to generate a suggested response and is immediately deleted after processing.
No Accounts: We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers.
No Analytics Tracking: We do not use analytics tools or track your usage behavior.
Subscription Data: Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple may collect certain information (such as your Apple ID) for billing and subscription management, which is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Processing with AI Services: To generate responses, your submitted text or screenshot is securely transmitted to an external large language model (“LLM”) service provider, such as OpenAI, for processing.
No Storage by BetterDad: We do not store, log, or retain your data after the AI response is generated.
Local Storage: Any conversation history you choose to save remains only on your device, protected by iOS security features.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your content is shared only with the AI service provider for processing, and only for the duration of the request.
All data sent to external services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
Data stored on your device is secured by iOS’s native protections.
BetterDad is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Since we do not store your personal data, there is no information to access, update, or delete on our servers. Any data saved locally on your device can be deleted by uninstalling the App.
BetterDad is intended for use in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted within the App.
