A committee of Color Your Community Green
Did you know that New York State had a goal of reducing fossil fuel emissions 40% by 2030? It was modified in May 2026 to 60% by 2040 -- but both are checkpoints to our ultimate goal, an 80+% reduction by 2050, which is the same goal that Monroe County has adopted.
We're focused on how our community can reach "40 by 30" so that we can have a clean, healthy, and sustainable future.
These are challenging goals to reach! But they are not impossible, with planning and action from ordinary citizens like ourselves -- and our community leaders.
We'd love for you to be involved!
