Gary Pickardt of Pickardt Performance (2Ps) was the originator of the Jim Gilbert Memorial Build in 2020. Each year, he helps to devise the plan and this year will be leading the tech session on coil overs.
Jen Goss (R) Project Coordinator
Jen Goss, President of Mid-Atlantic Fiero Owners Association, again brings her organizational skills to the table to identify the scope of the project and make sure all the pieces come together.
Matt Goss Site Lead
Matt Goss' years of experience learning from Jim Gilbert paid off in allowing him to tackle most Fiero projects. This year, Matt donated the car, garage space and his talents for the build.
Other Team Members & Their Prior Roles
(In No Particular Order)
Matt McGowan
The other half of team M & M, Matt performed critical advisory roles such as car assessment, on-site planning and post-build coordination. Matt's years of industry experience and local knowledge are invaluable.
Cody Kline
Cody was a crucial part of the project planning team and upon arrival, dove into various aspects of the project. He once again led the paint booth - this time on a smaller scale. Post-build, Cody plans to touch up various exterior pieces.
Vin O'Mara
Hailing from Northern NJ, Vin once again brought his sense of humor, generosity and a willingness to wrench and learn. He was also excited to get his shocks and struts replaced this trip!
Kevin Lindeman
Kevin drove all the way from Minnie-Soda to be one of the on-hand official Fiero experts. He provided great advice throughout the weekend! He also ensured Jen got some great pictures!!
Jestin Pickardt
Jestin of Pickardt Performance again brought his considerable mechanical and fabrication skills to the project. He performed a variety of different jobs, including wowing the build team's younger members with his Turbo LS4.
Wes Shiring
Wes again brought his special sanding talents to the weekend's projects and was also key in toting around extra passengers with his cloaked Pontiac. Wes enjoyed camping at Lilac Spring with the best view of the weekend.
Tami George
Tami was also happy to tackle the sanding with Wes and son, Brody. This time around she was even able to wear short sleeves, which was a significant change over her previous visits to Lilac Spring Farm.
Fiero Brian
Brian from Baltimore returned this year with Sarah's engine in tow. They had much more success on the engine than they had in their attempt to camp - even though it's warmer this year, it's still a bit cold at night.
Joe Aponick
Joe's first trip to a build weekend was educational. In addition to learning how to install a hard line for his clutch system and a slave cylinder, he helped tackle the installation of an improved steering column.
Pat Roof
Patrick was also a newcomer to the build, but was happy to tackle the body work on his new wingless decklid, as well as the persistent oil leak that has plagued his engine.
Tony Wells
Tony was the lucky recipient of the free coilover upgrade during the weekend's tech session. He also was excited to go home with a functioning speedometer. His little red 86SE has come a long way from the field he pulled it out from last year.
Tiffany Wormuth (L)
Tiffany is a relatively new Fiero owner and brought her 1985SE out from Richmond. She was excited to meet other Fiero owners and learn a bit about her car too!
Sarah M
Sarah was excited to bring her motor to the build, minus a car, in order to progress towards getting her Fiero on the road. She turns 16 in the next year and the build weekend was a step in the right direction.
Christina Franklin
Christina rocked pink hair alongside her Warrior Pink 87GT. The weekend brought several upgrades to Christina's car including new window/mirror switches, a properly adjusted door, swapped tires and more.
Brody G
Like Sarah, Brody isn't yet on the road but he enjoyed learning more about Fieros and bodywork during his time in Virginia. He has a new Fiero favorite - an 88 Formula thanks to a ride he received from Cody!
