Rules and Regulations

We want everyone to be happy and enjoy this class but we also want to keep you safe. Please carefully read and adhere to the guidelines below during classes.

Please know that this program is only for kids ages 8-18 only!

• Adhere to all Brooklyn Public Library Policies, including but not limited to the Technology Usage Policy (IV. Public #) and Public Behavior Policy (IV. Public #).
• When 3D printers are running, users will not congregate around the printing operation to minimize the inhalation of particulates being created.
• The Printer can be extremely hot when printing your 3D Designs please don't touch the tip of the printer or touch your designs because it's still hot and will need time to be cool down.
• Do not touch move the printer before, during, or after the operation. Ask us to move it if necessary.
• There shall be no eating, drinking, applying cosmetics, chewing gum, or handling contact lenses in rooms that contain 3D printing operations.
• After your item finishes printing, do not touch it. We will remove it from the printer for you
• If you wish to use a material other than PLA or ABS while printing, please inform us asap.
• Also when there's an issue with anything technically wrong with the printer or the laptops you've been given, please do not touch it or try to fix it. it will lead to a mistake that can be extremely difficult to repair and fix!
• This program isn't a right, it's a obligation. Anyone that doesn't comply to our rules and instructions with get warnings. Once you reach 3 warnings, you will be officially kicked out of the program and not allowed to register again.
