Blue light 3D scanners are more accurate and efficient than conventional coordinate measuring machines (CMM). They can capture millions of precise 3D data points in a single scan, and can scan an entire object within a few seconds.
Blue light scanning offers better precision, accuracy, and higher quality outputs than white light scanning. It's the best option for scanning slightly transparent and shiny objects. Blue light scanning is superior to laser scanning for medical applications.
Blue light scanning works by projecting a pattern of light and dark areas on the object being measured, and then taking an image of this pattern overlaid on the object. By comparing millions of pixels, these structured light scanners can produce a more precise point cloud with a better definition of subtle edge features.
