Each office, business, or home type may require its own unique regiment for floor maintenance, depending mostly on how much foot traffic it receives. In almost every case, however, regular floor stripping and buffing by EnviroClean will keep your floors looking sharp.
Our Strip and Wax Process
The process of stripping and waxing floors is intense, laborious, and necessary to provide a safe and clean space. After the removal of any floor furnishings— the steps of floor stripping, scrubbing, extraction, rinsing, and waxing / sealing commences.
Our stripping floor service is the first step in removing any dirt and wax buildup on your floors before sealing them all with glossy wax. Following stripping your floor, the next step is to carefully lay wax in thin, even coats with full coverage. The final step in securing the safety and style of your business / home is to buff the floors to an intense shine.
Not only will waxing your floors provide a shiny and sleek look, but it will also protect your floors from stains and scratches.
Types Of Strip and Wax Services We Offer
Full Strip and Wax: A full strip and wax comprises of applying a chemical stripping agent and then agitating the floor with a buffer to loosen wax. Edges, tight areas, and around immoveable objects are hand scrubbed. Old wax is then scraped and suctioned from the floor surface. A neutralizing rinse is then applied mutiple times to prepare the floor surface for waxing. Once dried, mutiple coats of wax will be applied at various intervals; each coat requiring a dry time before application of the next.
Waxing Newly Installed Flooring: Vinyl composite tile (VCT) flooring fresh from the manufacturer will often require waxing. Although a full stripping will not be required, a safe procedure is to do a very light strip process to prepare the surface for wax, and remove any excess glue flooring installers have left behind.
Scrub and Recoat: Top scrub and recoat is a maintenance procedure done between full strip and wax visits. The top layer of wax is removed, and a fresh coat is applied.
