About us

After many years of caring for the orchard, in 2018 Al and Mary sold the home and acreage to their daughter,  Pauline, and their son-in-law, Ben.  Pauline and Ben were happy to move home at long last after starting their careers in Vancouver.  We are proud to continue Al and Mary's tradition of spray-free orcharding.

Our Values

Biodiversity and environmentally responsible farming are at the heart of what we do.  Our orcharding is labour-intensive, but since we are small (two acres, 85 trees) and diverse (over 45 varieties of fruit, berries, and nuts), we are able to dedicate the necessary time to maintaining a spray-free practice.  We work hard to encourage pollinators and birds, and we think peaceful thoughts and take deep breaths when trying to co-exist with the deer, who love to nibble the tender leaves on our trees.  Our property is adjacent to a bird sanctuary and a sensitive riparian area.  We feel very fortunate to live in such a biodiverse environment, and we take the responsibility of careful land stewardship very seriously.
