Research

My research lies in the intersection of geometric group theory and low-dimensional topology, centered around surfaces and their mapping class groups. I especially enjoy doing effective mathematics, i.e. math with explicit constructions, constants, and parameters. I've recently become interested in hyperbolic 3-manfiolds and infinite-type surfaces. If you like thinking about any of these things, feel free to reach out!
