2nd Herrington Scouts are looking into the idea of opening a Squirrel Drey on a Thursday evening between 5.30pm and 6.15pm. It's a new section introduced in scouting that brings in young boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 6. Squirrels is aimed to help young people gain skills for life at a time where it is most crucial, and most importantly, introduced to enjoying new activities, people and events.

Squirrels introduces the whole family to scouting, with the premise that parents remain at the  group during the session  to not only help engage their young person, but also develop new skills of their own to guide their young person through the movement.

At the moment, we're looking for initial interest in Squirrels, both from a leader and young person perspective.
