Question to think about as you read chapter 6-8!

  • Which activity from chapters 6-8 are you the most excited to try with your students next year?
  • What benefits come from integrating hands-on and technology activities? (page 63)
  • What experiences could our Littles graph this year? (page 63)
  • Why is it important for Littles to analyze data? (pages 68-69) How will these opportunities deepen mathematical understanding?
  • Sharing mathematical strategies and thinking is powerful to building math concepts. How will you use the ideas shared in chapter 8 with your students?
  • What are the benefits of creating activities that give students immediate feedback like the spreadsheet math activities?
  • Do you use Google Classroom with your Littles? How can private comments help them grow as learners? (pages 70-71)
  • Sequencing is a hard skill for Littles. What type of sequencing activities could we create? (page 78)
