Your aim is simple. Using multiple sources and materials and by comparing different events you must answer the question:
At what moment of the Cold War was the Doomsday Clock closest to striking midnight?
The process you should take is:
1) Form a group of between 2 and 4 students.
2) Study the materials on the following pages and carry out your own research. If you are using the internet remember to use reputable historical sites.
3) Make a group decision of when the most dangerous moment for the world was during the Cold War?
4) Write a justification for your decision giving evidence to support your answer. A clear comparison with other events will help your answers stand out here.
5) Present and justify your choice to the class in a 3-5 min Verbal Presentation. If you want to use supporting imagery on the white board that is fine.
Good luck !
