Q.: Can I reset the ink cartriges by WIC Reset Utility?

A.: No. You cant reset ink cartriges by WIC Reset Utility. You have to by CISS or Auto-Reset Chips or reset cartriges by Chip Resetter. We dont provide this products.

TestimonialsI was skeptical that you were providing a legitimate service - no offense - but pleasantly surprised after downloading your program which reported the waste ink counter level and literally within five-minutes or purchasing a key - the program reset the waste ink counter and I was back in business.

Oh my golly, I didn't think that would work, but it fixed it in about 30 seconds. Even though I hadn't been able to disable the process monitor thing that it says do first, the reset program still worked instantly when I ran it on an Epson XP-540. If there is one thing that gets my goat in terms of being so unethical both a rip-off financially and environmentally unsustainable, its the way printer companies rip us off. So am super grateful to have found a way round this. For a much more reasonable price than the printer shop told us, and something I could do at home when I needed the printer urgently for work! Thanks so much!

I got the flashing lights and "Service required" message on my Epson R2400, as many others have before! I spent hours online and eventually managed to download Epsons' own Adjustment Program. It showed me the waste ink settings but would not let me reset the counter, although I had disconnected the feed tubes and re-routed them to an external bottle.

Today I found 2Manuals.com and downloaded their WIC reset program. I thought "It probably won't work but one key is only $9.99 so what the heck!

Well that was the best $9.99 I've ever spent! As soon as I entered the key and hit "reset" the printer whirred into action, ink pumped into my waste bottle and I'm back in action!

This has saved me a lot of money and the hassle of sending the printer to an Epson service centre. Truly a 5***** product!

Fantastic, WIC reset program does exactly as it says, brought my XP-610 back from the dead, will recommend to anyone. Thanks.

Thanks soooooo much !!!!! Thought my printer was dead until i downloaded the reset utility and got my key.

Process over and printer XP-710 working in minutes.

Saved the cost of a new printer!

Will recommend to anyone and use again if needed, as the service was 5 star plus.

My printer stopped printing with the error as "General Error". Epson quoted me $60 to send an engineer to fix my printer.

After reading through the information on this site I decided to fix it myself. Found the problem was related to the waste ink pad counter.

Only 10 minutes, I had the the printer working! The printer tested fine and has done approx 150 pages since with NO issues.

Thanks for your WIC PROGRAM!

> I changed the ink-pads on the printer and downloaded the inkpad reset utility from _ART810_NA.EXE

> I used the software to reset the inkpad counter; then the program ran and then asked me to power off the printer.

> Once I powered it off, and then on, the error message went away; however it comes back immediately when I try to print a page. (tried it numerous times)

> I used your WIC Reset Utility to read conters, and before the resetting, it shows: 100.08% (7929 of 7923) [this counter overflowed and printer need reset] 40% (4913 of 12284) [ this counter is ok ] and after the epson utility reset, it shows

40% (3169 of 7923) [ this counter is ok ]

40% (4913 of 12284) [ this counter is ok ]

so looks OK; however when I try to print or do head cleaning, it starts

giving the error again, and the data read on WIC Reset Utility is back to

100.08% (7929 of 7923) [this counter overflowed and printer need reset]

 40% (4913 of 12284) [ this counter is ok ]

I would like to purchase a key for your WIC Reset utility, however I am worried that I would have the same issue that utility as well, and waste my money without getting results....

 Could you please help me?

I then asked him to give me the button sequence to get the eprom restored itself (I know for some other models it can be done: I've found if on internet. But it looks not for this models). No way. There's no such combination, he told me. At the best, you can try to unplug the printer, make two short pushes on the "ON" button and after 20 minutes restart the printer to adjust several minor points of the eprom. I did it. Nothing happened. I then tried to experiment myself and up to now, I've got these button combinations that make some things but doesn't reset to factory state the eprom. Here they are if this helps someone:

I bought the Adjustment Program from 2Manuals but it keeps telling me there is a communication error. 2Manuals tech support said to disable all Epson r3800 drivers but as soon as I turn the printer back on they are automatically replaced. So I got a new maintenance cart from Adorama yesterday and the lcd says Install maintenance cartridge even when I put the new clean, empty one in.

The operating system is Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit.

I probably should have sent the maintence tank back to Adorama and asked for another one, but I (probably foolishly) reset the chip on the new tank after a few unsuccessful attempts. Any ideas?

I assume you have the 3880 maintenance tank resetter?

Regarding the adjustment program not connecting, you need to install the Epson 3880 driver on your system and add the printer before adjust wiz will work.

I have reviewed the instructions for the P 600 and the Inkjet Mall carts. The take away for me was never let your carts run dry so I filled them up often. It sounds like that means your carts might not reset to full. What am I missing?

There is a chipless firmware solution at the 2manuals site but it indicated that it would not work on my version of p600. You can see if yours works by following the instructions here. Activation Key for making Epson XP-760, EP-807A Chipless Printer (for one device only) - Service Manuals download service (2manuals.com)

Yesterday I printed something out and found the color inks faded so tried running a deep cleaning, but instead of the procedure, it went into an error mode that I am unable to extricate it from. It exhibits the series of 7 flashing lights alternating between On and Alarm lamps. The error codes 5B00 or B501 say I need to send it in for service. Really, it has not been a problem before attempting to clean. I've read some methods to reset it, annd I tried these and unplugging, etc., but it will not exit the error lights mode.

Any help on attempting a hard factory type reset (assuming there exists such an option) would be much appreciated. At least I could then see if it would be an absolute problem only repaired by a servicing.

I just went through this with my MX892. A great printer that has no Canon support any longer, like many other models. I like the printer because it is one of the better ones that Canon created. Anyway.. there are a couple of pretty good websites out there that provide the soluton for resetting the ink absorber counter and clearing the 5B00 error message.

Adjustment Programs are model and country specific, you would need a specific program for that particular printer. It's very dificult to find these things for free. When you do they are often infected with viruses. So $14 is pretty cheap if you ask me and it can be used indefinitely unlike the WIC which requires paid KEYS per reset.

Somewhere I have a link to a website that offers hacks for resetting waste ink counters for most Epson printers. I have my downloaded utility (Independently produced) for the 1400 but there were many more offered for various models. The problem is that Epson in the USA do offer utilites for resetting the waste ink counter (obviously owners MUST install a waste tank to match) but the USA offers do not apply to anywhere else in the World. They can only be obtained by giving the USA Serial Number on the printer - so anyone elsewhere will find their code is rejected as not a model supplied in the USA. In the UK, for example, Epson does not offer this utility .... thus proving yet again that Epson as a Corporation Worldwide does not really care two jots for its clients. In general, Epson USA seems far more "with it". be457b7860
