Shopping and Time

Everyone had partners from the beginning of the session. So they had a choice between coin war or shopping. If needed, they could switch people to work with if the partners couldn't agree on which to choose.

For the shopping activity, everybody had a partner. One would go 'shopping' and the other one would be the cashier. I would give the student that was shopping a money amount that they had and they would go shopping but couldn't go over the money amount. When they were done, they would go the cashier and tell them what they ordered and tell them how much money they have. Then, the cashier would have to give the shopper the correct change and then they would swap roles.

This is what I used for coin war. I gave the students a choice of whether they wanted to do coin war or shopping.

These are the Kahoots I planned to have them play. When we went to do them, the internet at school stopped working so we only got to do the 1st elapsed time one.
