Terms of Service — 2FA AUTH

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Eline Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Eline Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the 2FA AUTH app (published in-app as "SecureVault," package `com.elinetec.securevault`) on Android, iOS, and macOS, and any related backend services (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using 2FA AUTH, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use 2FA AUTH. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. The Service
2FA AUTH is a two-factor authentication (TOTP/HOTP) generator and encrypted password manager. It generates authentication codes on your device and stores your saved logins in a locally encrypted vault, which can optionally be backed up in encrypted form to our servers so it can be restored to another device.
3. Your account
You sign in using Google or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you sign in with. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs through your account.
4. Your master password — please read this carefully
2FA AUTH uses a zero-knowledge design. Your vault and any encrypted backups are protected by an encryption key derived from your master password, and **your master password is never transmitted to or stored by us, in any form.** This means:
- We cannot see, recover, or reset your master password.
- If you forget your master password and cannot verify your identity through the in-app Google/Apple re-authentication recovery flow while a recoverable key still exists on a device, the contents of your vault and any backups become permanently and irreversibly inaccessible — to you and to us. This is a consequence of how the encryption is designed to protect you, not a limitation we can lift on request.
- You are solely responsible for remembering your master password and for keeping any recovery information you choose to write down safe and private.
By using 2FA AUTH, you accept this risk and agree that Eline Technologies has no liability for data that becomes unrecoverable as a result of a forgotten master password.
5. Subscriptions (2FA AUTH Pro)
Certain features — including unlimited password vault items, encrypted cloud backup, restore to a new device, automatic live backup, full security-score detail, additional themes, and (on Android/iOS) removal of ads — require a
2FA AUTH Pro subscription or one-time purchase. Two-factor code generation itself is, and will always remain, free and unlimited on every plan.
- Pro Monthly, Pro Annual, and Pro Lifetime are offered at the prices shown in the app and in the applicable App Store or Google Play listing at the time of purchase.
- Pro Monthly and Pro Annual are auto-renewing subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method (managed entirely by Apple or Google, never by us) will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Pro Annual may be offered with an introductory free trial (currently 7 days). If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the then-current Annual price.
- Pro Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that grants Pro access for as long as 2FA AUTH is supported on your account, without recurring charges.
- Purchases, billing, cancellations, and refunds are all handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), subject to their respective terms and policies. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly; refund requests must go through Apple or Google.
- If you subscribe on one platform (for example, iOS), your Pro entitlement applies to your account across the platforms we support, subject to each store's purchase-sharing rules.
- We may change subscription prices for future billing periods; where required, we or the app store will notify you in advance.
6. Advertising
Free-tier users may see ads served through Google AdMob on non-sensitive screens of the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. Ads never appear on your code list, vault, unlock screen, or any screen used to add, import, back up, or restore data. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of third-party advertisements. A Pro subscription removes ads on Android and iOS. The macOS app never shows ads.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service's security or cryptography except as permitted by applicable law; use the Service to store or generate credentials for accounts you are not authorized to access; or attempt to disrupt or overload our backend infrastructure.
8. Intellectual property
2FA AUTH, its design, and its underlying software are owned by Eline Technologies Pvt Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, and, as explained in Section 4, we cannot warrant recovery of data protected by a forgotten master password.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eline Technologies Pvt Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data (including loss of access to your vault or backups due to a forgotten master password), loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eline Technologies Pvt Ltd from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Eline Technologies Pvt Ltd is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise. *(Eline Technologies: please confirm your exact registered jurisdiction here — e.g., "the Islamic Republic of Pakistan" or "the Republic of India" — before publishing.)*
