Ongoing research works: Functionalized organic-inorganic hybrid nanomaterials for biological and environmental applications
(1) (Harmful) microalgae treatment (Inhibition/algicidal activities, harvesting, and conversion into useful materials)
(2) Antimicrobial and AOP/ARP processes (Biocidal effects, adsorption, Advanced Fenton-like reaction/reduction, eco-toxicity, and biochips)
(3) CO2 utilization (Selective solid adsorbents and mass-production of efficient base catalysts)
(4) Design of unique nanomaterial hybrids for environmental clean-ups (Organoclays, inorganic semiconductors, and carbon-based 0D, 1D, and 2D nanomaterials)
(5) Cytotoxicity study of mammalian cells (In-vitro/in-vivo anticancer assays, transfection, and drug delivery)

(1) Immobilization of defected aminoclays onto fabrics or membranes formicroalgae harvesting and biodiesel conversion
(2) Diagnostic aminoclay sensors for cancer detection and anticancer effect
(3) Carbon dioxide (CO2) capturing by organo-building blocks of nanoclays
(4) Axenic microalgae culture
(5) Oleaginous yeast cell disruption by aminoclay-based Fenton-like reaction and its use in feedstock for microalgae culture
(6) Novel organoclay catalysts for hydrolysis of polysaccharides
