All About Ms. D.
I am a lifelong learner and proud Professional Educator. I am beyond thrilled to be teaching at Harmony Union School District and look forward to building a community in my classroom dedicated to service, connections, and self-discovery. I have been teaching middle and high school students for many years, but most recently, I was at Willowside Middle School in the Oak Grove Union School District.
I have lived in Sonoma County since 2008 and love living in Monte Rio with my husband and son; it truly is "Vacation Wonderland"! My husband and I met and married when we both lived on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. After ten years in paradise, we decided it was time to move on and embrace the wholesome lifestyle and strong community that lies in West Sonoma County.
I earned my Master's of Education in Teaching from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in English with an emphasis in writing from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. I hold a Multiple Subject teaching credential, a Single Subject English teaching credential, and a Career Technical Education credential.
I have a positive outlook on life and encourage everyone to explore our world to find our human connection and relationship with nature. I enjoy reading, yoga & meditation, and spending time with my family & friends when I am not learning a new technology or some obscure historical fact. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year with the Harmony community!
