Decode

DECODE is our rookie year in FTC. We had to design a robot that could move around and shoot balls called artifacts into a red or blue goal. Below are the different competitions we participated in.

Thumb Wars Qualifier

This was our first time participating in an FTC competition. Though, there were many experienced teams there, yet we managed to get 5th place out of twenty-seven. This meant we qualified for play-offs and were going against the some of the best teams in the whole competition. In the end, we didn't make it to the finals of the play-offs. However, we did qualify for the Wisconsin State Championship in our very first competition.

SCORE: 5-1-0

Lakeshore Ignites Qualifier

This competition wasn't about qualifying for state, but rather about getting an award. After we qualified in Thumb Wars, we knew that if we wanted to be a good team, we were going to have to get awards. So, the main focus was on trying to get judges to come to our booth. However, our robot suddenly broke after one of the queueing tables randomly gave out on our robot. We were forced to play defense for the rest of the competition and ultimately was our losing factor.
