Public transport & connectivity

Urdorf is very well connected by public transport — trains, regional S-Bahn, regional trams / light-rail (via the new Limmattalbahn) and buses. 

Train / S-Bahn: The main stations are Urdorf railway station and Urdorf Weihermatt railway station. Urdorf station is served by S-Bahn lines (e.g. S5, S14), and on weekends there is also a nighttime S-Bahn service. 

With those connections, central Zürich (HB) can be reached in around 15 minutes (depending on service). 

Tram / Limmattalbahn & buses: Since 2022, Limmattalbahn line 20 connects Urdorf to neighbouring places — this improves connectivity and replaces some older bus lines 

Several bus lines (like 302, 314, 317 etc.) cover Urdorf and link it to neighbouring municipalities and S-Bahn/tram stops 

For commuters with cars: thanks to the motorway access (close to the main Swiss motorway network), and local P+R parking, Urdorf is also car-commuter friendly 

Urdorf combines the advantages of a small community — green spaces, local services, local business and housing — with very good connectivity to Zürich and surroundings. That makes it appealing both for people working in Zürich and those seeking a quieter residential environment.

Doctors and hospitals

Urdorf is very well connected to the hospital and the main center in Urdorf (Spitzacker) which has a doctors surgery , pharmacy and shopping area 

Hospital
