We are excited to share that our Middle of Year (MOY) iReady benchmark testing is just around the corner, taking place from January 12–30! Over the past months, our students have been hard at work using their leadership binders to set personal goals for growth in both reading and math, and to monitor their success on MyPath lessons. This testing window is their chance to show how much their dedication has paid off by making improvements in their iReady scores.
To help them perform at their very best, please remind your child to:
Get a good night’s sleep
Eat healthy foods
Take their time and work through problems carefully
Believe in themselves and the effort they’ve put in!!
We have faith in our students’ abilities and know they can rise to the challenge. We truly believe that when every child is empowered to reach their full potential, amazing things happen. Our goal is 100% student growth, meaning each child should see a gain in their scores—no matter how big or small, every bit of progress counts!
To celebrate these achievements, we are planning our second "Improvement Parade" for February. More details will be shared soon, but for now, let’s cheer on our students as they strive to show what they know and reach new heights!! #owlsallin
Why Attendance Matters at Joshua Tree Elementary
💛 We’re proud of our progress: Attendance is up compared to previous years, and that growth reflects the strong partnership between our families, students, and staff. Let's keep it up!
📚 Every day = learning: Students learn best when they are present—building academic skills, confidence, and meaningful connections with peers and teachers.
⏰ Consistency matters: Arriving every day, on time, helps students stay on track and feel successful.
🤝 We need each other: Your continued partnership helps ensure every child has access to the learning opportunities they deserve.
Together, as a school family grounded in love and growth, we can make every school day count. 🦉💛
