The Korean Association for Social Studies Education (KASSE) hosts an annual international academic exchange to promote collaboration among social studies education researchers and educators, both in Korea and abroad. This year, we have invited Dr. Christopher Martell from the University of Massachusetts Boston, author of Teaching History for Justice, to engage in dialogue with participants. All interested individuals are encouraged to attend.
The 2024 KASSE International Academic Symposium will focus on the intersection of history education and social justice. This event aims to provide a platform for researchers and educators to discuss innovative approaches to teaching history that center on activism and promote a justice-oriented understanding of the past.
