This is the main programme, running from 7pm Friday 12th to 7pm Saturday 13th June. During the main timetable, there will also be sessions and a singaround happening at the campfire / marquee (weather depending). See the bottom of this page for details.
Events in the Main Hall
Friday 12th June
19:00-20.00 - Opening Session
General session starting with Bath Carnival.
20:00-20:45 - English Ceilidh Dancing, first half
Jethro calling a selection of dances, with musicians welcome to join in the scratch band.
20:45-21:00 - Rag Morris
Morris dance display spot during the interval of the ceilidh.
21:00-21:30 - English Ceilidh Dancing, second half
Jethro calling a selection of dances, with musicians welcome to join in the scratch band.
21:30-22:30 - French/Breton Bal
A selection of French and Breton dances, with teaching if needed, led by Steve, Daniel, and others. Join the band if you know the repertoire; dance if not!
22:30-00:00 - Scratch Ceilidh
The formal dancing over, you may now call, play, dance, or watch, as you choose!
Saturday 13th June
00:00-00:30 - Midnight Session
A midnight session, with night-time themed tunes where possible!
00:30-02:00 - Open Mic
Sign up on the Friday evening for your graveyard shift slot. This has been very popular in the past.
02:00-03:00 - Poetry at the Folkathon with Nick Sainsbury
Nick Sainsbury leads an hour of poetry, stories, songs, tunes and more.
03:00-04:00 - Gimmick Session
An hour of fun, featuring tunes which are played with unusual gimmicks!
04:00-04:45 - Michael's obscure tune list
Listen and join in with some new tunes.
04:45-05:00 - Katie's Sunrise Clogging
Dance the sun up with clogs!
05:00-06:15 - Speed Centunery
Come and play our list of 100 tunes from the Centunery earlier this year, just once each! The full list of tunes can be found on the Tunes and Dots tab. Find out more about the Centunery on the Centunery website.
06:15-07:00 - Aseasonal session
Absolutely anything inappropriate for the season: autumnal tunes, Christmas songs and the like.
07:00-08:00 - John Mills
Fiddle tunes, with backing track.
08:00-09:10 - Morning Walk / Session in Hall
A walk through the woods around Conygres with procession tunes. For those who would rather not come on the walk, Paul Dennant and Kath Fletcher will be hosting a relaxed session in the Hall.
09:10-09:30 - Paul's Breakfast Slot
A selection of tunes with Paul.
09:30-10:30 - Bristol Spelmanslag
A performance of Scandinavian tunes. For the second half, there will be tunes which appear in local sessions, which other players are invited to join in with. Sheet music can be found on the Tunes and Dots tab.
10:30-11:15 - Amusette
French duo, Penny and Brian. Dancing encouraged!
11:15-11:35 - Nota-Bene choir
Come and hear some uplifting songs in Nota-Bene's first slot.
11:35-12:00 - KKTT Tunettes
A performance of tunes we've been learning with KatieK's Tune Tutorial on Zoom over the last few years.
12:00-12:45 - Pete Thompson and Geoff King
A variety of songs and tunes, some with a strong Morris flavour.
12:45-13.15 - Tairní Mara
Lively Irish tunes and songs.
13:15-13:45 - Nightjars
Accordion-and-flute duo play us some tunes.
13:45-14:20 - Tradfangled
Listen to some traditional, and not so traditional, Irish tunes and songs.
14:20-14:40 - Nota-Bene choir
Listen to some more songs in Nota-Bene's second slot.
14:40-15:00 - The Entertainers
Enjoy some ragtime tunes by Scott Joplin and others, played by The Entertainers.
15:00-15:20 - Oriana Folk
Come and hear the second choir of the day perform some songs.
15:20-16:00 - Unkempt
Katie, Michael, and Pete perform a mix of tunes and songs.
16:00-16:40 - Kitchen Kapelye
Lively Klezmer tunes and a few from elsewhere.
16:40-17:30 - The Beaufort Session
Irish session tunes led by the Beaufort crowd. Everyone is welcome to join.
17:30-18:00 - Pictionary Session
Come and join in a fun Pictionary session - draw your tunes on the whiteboard, then we can play them!
18:00-18:30 - Folk@Pill Session
A mostly English session consisting of tunes popular with the Folk@Pill group. Everyone is welcome to join.
18:30-19:00 - General Session
Any tunes welcome, and perhaps the odd song too. Finishing with Bath Carnival.
19:00 - Finish!
Now you can relax - we made it! The evening party starts here. Anyone for a few tunes?
Campfire Sessions
Friday 12th June
19:00-22:30 - Open Session
There will be no pre-arranged host, but feel free to bring a chair and start a tune! Please do not disturb the campers after 22:30; instead, you may want to return to the main hall for the Scratch Ceilidh.
Saturday 13th June
07:00-12:00 - Open Session

12:00-14:00 - Singaround!
Hosted by Kevin Kennedy. Come with your favourite song to share, or just listen and join in the choruses.
