The primary responsibility of curriculum leaders is to develop the collective capacity of the organization to assure that all students are successful. We will explore the eight functions of our work to assure the capacity of the system to achieve that goal - the success of all in achieving our students' success.

This is a highly interactive conversation focusing on the "nuts and bolts" of serving as a new curriculum lead. A variety of topics will be addressed along with a focus on why this is important to me and an opportunity to ask questions of veteran curriculum leaders.

Session will include an overview of DOE TLC guidance and Perry's experience with a comprehensive program review and individual program reviews.

The goal of this session is to provide participants with a variety of systems and processes that can be used together to aid in their school improvement efforts. The presenters plan on developing some podcasts with more specific information on how they have utilized systems and processes in their district as well as provide participants contact information to other experts who could provide them assistance. They will emphasize the need to make obvious connections for all stakeholders so they see things as next steps and not new initiatives.

We are excited to share the intentional actions steps we created to bring clarity and purpose to coaching in our district. This session will focus on how an instructional coaching team can strategically establish a culture that fosters teacher engagement and trust in the coaching process. Using several resources and guidance from the Instructional Coaching Group, our coaching team has developed a model that has shown great success in engaging teachers and impacting student development from Pre-K to high school.

Join us to unlock "the black box" and identify specific strategies that need to take place to guarantee your success in moving from your current reality to your desired state with your initiatives. You will walk away with tools you can use immediately and opportunities for follow-up support via Zoom

Universal Design for Learning is one of the most beneficial tools to help educators plan to meet the needs of all learners. Participants will explore these benefits and leave understanding the WHY and HOW of UDL as well as receiving links to the enormous wealth of free resources to support the incorporation of UDL in your classroom and school.

Participants will:
1. Prepare for leadership of data-based decision making within an MTSS framework.
2. Describe types and purposes of assessment.
3. Build awareness of how to systematically use data resources that are available in Iowa.
4. Reflect on and plan for infrastructure improvements at the building or district.
5. Receive additional resources for future support.
Participants will…
1) Enhance their knowledge of the 21st century grading shifts and effective strategies for communicating with parents/guardians.
2) Acquire a thorough understanding of practical metaphors that can be utilized to demonstrate grading concepts to parents.
3) Formulate a comprehensive "game plan" tailored to their local environment, outlining effective approaches to communicate grading reform and its implications.
