To help students better prepare themselves for the First Term Exam, all S.1 students entered the hall and studied various subjects after school on 9 November and 10 November 2022. Teachers of different subjects and parent volunteers provided support and guidance, enabling students to do revision meticulously.
Students were taught how to draw mind maps and tree diagrams. Then they were given opportunities to practise drawing them. Our NET teachers, Mr. Varma and Mr. Dan, together with other English teachers, supported students’ English learning. Apart from English learning, students also received great support from teachers of Chinese, Mathematics and other subjects. Our parent volunteers offered much support and guidance to students throughout the whole session.
Students expressed that their passion for learning English had grown much after joining the 2-day Study Hall activity. With the concerted effort of all the parties and students’ perseverance, students have gained much more confidence in taking the exams.
Student Reflections:

It’s great to do revision with all the fellow students in S.1. I have become more motivated to learn. The exercises given by the teachers were really helpful. I must thank all the teachers and parent volunteers for their help.
At first, I thought 1 hour and 20 minutes was very long but time passed quickly. I think there is a lot of knowledge that I need to learn and I must work much harder to get good grades in exams.

I love this session because I can study more English which can help me get better marks in the school exams. My teacher, Mr. Varma, was able to help me more with my classwork and now I understand it better.
Maths is usually difficult so during this session, my Maths teacher gave me extra help. I feel confident to do well in my exams.
