Creativity

What is "Creativity?"

"Creativity" refers to readers' ability to apply an idea from a reading and create something new as a result. When readers are able to "create" based on something that they've read, they are able to build on what they've learned and become actively engaged in the reading process. The creation does not have to be anything big or grand: the "creativity" process could simply mean generating an independent thought or impression of the reading that differs from what is literally in the text.
