The Heavy Trooper is a type of specialized clone trooper that is deployed with heavy weapons and armor/health modifications and additions to support other clone trooper forces. Heavy clone troopers were equipped with modified phase I and phase II clone trooper armor, with variations. Additional munitions could be added with a separate diagonal chest strap or a standard two-strapped military backpack. Beyond supplying heavy firepower to the Republic Army, heavy troopers aid their comrades by providing anti-vehicle support and heavy covering fire.
