Shauntee Burns-Simpson, MLIS, held the prestigious position of President of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) from 2020 to 2022, during which she showcased exemplary leadership and advocacy for diversity and inclusion within the library community. Currently, she serves as the Director of Youth & Family Services at the DC Public Library, where her passion for connecting people to library resources will be amplified through her innovative programming and initiatives.
