204100 Lab 07 Take-home Assignment (Excel)

Due Date: April 10th, 2020

1. Create a new workbook. On the workbook, create 4 worksheets: AnimalData, Chart, Score, and Stats.

2. Under AnimalData worksheet, enter the data in picture A.

Create 2 charts and place them on Chart worksheet. Pick appropriate chart type for each one of them, and format them as you see fit. You should NOT include data in row 8 (Total) in the chart.

• The first chart will display numbers of each type of animals in each month, from January to June. The x-axis should display animal name, y-axis should display numbers of animals.
• The second chart will display numbers of all animal (sum of all types in a month) for each month, with similar axes to the first chart. For example, the number for January will be 238 (8+150+80). A new column that contains the sum of animals in each month will be required.

3. Under Score chart, enter the data in picture B

• Perform frequency analysis on Level data using the bins in column E, and put the result, along with the histogram on worksheet Stats.
• Create descriptive statistics for Score data and put the result on worksheet Stats.

4. On Stats worksheet, write your name and student ID. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY CREDIT IF YOU DO NOT WRITE YOUR NAME AND STUDENT ID ON THE WORKBOOK.

Submission

Your workbook should have 4 worksheets, containing the followings:

• AnimalData must have data depicted in picture A.
• Charts must have 2 charts based on the data in AnimalData
• Score must have have data depicted in picture B.
• Stats must have frequency analysis and descriptive statistics of the data in Score.

Save your workbook to file with studentid_excel2-takehome.xlsx as the file’s name. For example, 500510111_excel2-takehome.xlsx. Then, upload the file to homework submission website (http://hw.cs.science.cmu.ac.th), under your section.
