Measurements & Exchange Policy
Measurements & Exchange Policy
Renee will be at the studio Aug 27, 28, 31, Sep 1, 2, 3 to size all dancers. You must sign up for a sizing appointment. (see below)
Before signing up for an appointment, please consider the following:
A parent must be present to approve sizing, regardless of the dancer's age.
Rehearsal time is limited, so sizing needs to happen before or after your dancer's rehearsal (or on a day they are not rehearsing) in order to not take away from rehearsal time. Please double-check your dancer's rehearsal schedule HERE.
Please arrive at the studio 3-5 minutes BEFORE your scheduled time slot.
Please have your dancer wear fitted clothing for their sizing appointment. (Ie: leotard, tights, bike shorts, leggings, etc.)
Dancers who are in multiple pieces will be able to do all of their sizing during one appointment time slot.
If you do not sign up for an appointment or you miss your appointment, you will have to wait until someone is available to size your dancer, which may delay the arrival of your dancer's costume.
Costume sizing is now closed.
2026 Elevation Nutcracker Costume Loan Policy

These costumes include (but not limited to): Party Guests, Grannys, Maid, Clara, Nutcracker, All Dolls, Mother Ginger, Rat Queen, Sugar Plum, Dew Drop, Flowers Demi-Soloists, Shepherdess/Marzipan Lead, Drosselmina, Harriet, Lead Angel, Snow Queen, Spanish Empress, Arabian Princess, Maid, Tea pas de Trois, Bakers
Costume Care
Dancers and families are responsible for the proper care of costumes while in their possession. Costumes should be:
Stored in a clean, dry place when not in use
Handled carefully to avoid rips, stains, or damage
Kept away from pets, food, and drinks
Not altered, trimmed, or adjusted without approval from the Director
Reporting Damage
Any issues with a costume — including but not limited to a broken zipper, rips, tears, stains, or missing pieces — must be reported to the Artistic Director immediately. Do not attempt to repair or alter the costume yourself.
Costume Return
All costumes must be returned immediately following the final performance of the Nutcracker. Costumes should be returned in the same condition in which they were received, accounting for normal wear.
Lost or Damaged Costumes
Families may be responsible for the cost of repair or replacement for any costume that is lost, damaged beyond normal wear, or not returned.
Fitting Changes
Please notify the Director as soon as possible if a costume no longer fits properly so that adjustments can be made in a timely manner.
Requests may be available for costume exchange only, and an exchange may not be possible due to vendor supply.
Requests can be made through this form, where you will also find detailed instructions regarding costume exchanges.
If you have specific questions about costume exchanges, please contact: renee@elevationdancestudio.com
>>> IMPORTANT <<<
COSTUME EXCHANGES ARE ONLY POSSIBLE IF YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING!
DO NOT THROW AWAY ANY PLASTIC BAGS THAT MAY ACCOMPANY THE COSTUME IN THE GARMENT BAG UNTIL AFTER YOUR DANCER HAS TRIED ON PIECES.
Costume Exchange Policy
Elevation Dance Studio will consider costume exchange requests based on vendor availability. All exchange requests must be submitted within one (1) week of the original costume distribution date. Requests received after this deadline cannot be accommodated.
Costumes must be returned directly by the parent to the vendor. For this reason, DO NOT THROW AWAY ANYTHING THAT COMES WITH THE COSTUME INCLUDING ANY PLASTIC BAGS LOCATED IN THE GARMENT BAG because costumes must be returned in the original packaging and in new, unworn condition with all tags attached. The dancer/parent is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Because EDS orders costumes from multiple vendors, each supplier has its own exchange policies. Any vendor-imposed exchange, restocking, handling, or shipping fees the parent will be responsible for these fees.
Exchange Process
Complete the Costume Exchange Request Form in its entirety and submit it.
Confirm that you have received the automatic email confirmation of your submission.
EDS will review your request and initiate the exchange with the costume vendor, if eligible.
EDS will email you detailed return shipping instructions.
Ship the original costume promptly. Replacement sizes are subject to vendor inventory and cannot be guaranteed until the exchange is processed.
Once the vendor receives and approves the returned costume, the replacement costume will be shipped to EDS (subject to availability).
EDS will notify you when your replacement costume is ready for pickup.
Important Information
Costume exchanges are subject to vendor inventory and cannot be guaranteed.
Most costume vendors do not provide prepaid return labels. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the dancer/parent.
In many cases, vendors charge EDS for the replacement costume before issuing credit for the returned item. If the original costume is not returned to the vendor, the replacement costume will not be considered an exchange. The full replacement costume cost, along with any applicable vendor fees, will be charged to your EDS account.
Exchanges requested after the one-week deadline cannot be processed.
