During the Wednesday night drawing, there will be two buckets, each containing the full list of genres:

• Each production team will draw one genre from each bucket

• The short film must show genre tropes of either (or both) genres picked; if two of the same genre are drawn, a production team may redraw from one bucket 

• Before the next production team draws, the genres will be returned to their buckets to ensure total fairness to all teams (the last teams who draw will have an equal chance at a genre as the first teams who draw)

• Multiple teams can have the same genre  

The available genres are:

1. Action/Adventure

2. Comedy

3. Sci-Fi

4. Drama

5. Horror

6. Romance

7. Thriller/Suspense

8. Coming of Age

9. Crime

10. Fish out of Water
