Saskia Van Viegen
The Education University of Hong Kong
Saskia Van Viegen is Professor (Teaching) in the Department of English Language Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. Her research and scholarship engage with bi/multilingualism and language assessment in education, focusing on the intersection of these areas with the fields of applied linguistics, TESOL, writing and education research. Her publications appear in Applied Linguistics Review, TESOL Quarterly, Language Assessment Quarterly, Canadian Modern Language Review, and others. She co-edited Plurilingual Pedagogies: Critical and Creative Undertakings for Equitable Language (in) Education and served as Editor in Chief of the international journal Critical Inquiry in Language Studies (2020-2025).

Vahid Aryadoust
National Institute of Education of Nanyang Technological University
Vahid Aryadoust is an Associate Professor of language assessment and research program leader at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research focuses on generative artificial intelligence in language assessment, meta-analysis, and sensor-based methodologies, including eye tracking, brain imaging, and galvanic skin response. Dr. Aryadoust has published extensively in leading journals such as Computer Assisted Language Learning, Language Testing, SSLA, Applied Linguistics, Language Assessment Quarterly, etc., and has contributed to books published by Routledge, Cambridge University Press, Springer, Wiley Blackwell etc. He has led multiple international research projects supported by funding bodies in several countries, securing over SGD$6 million in research grants. In his upcoming book titled Assessing Listening in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence, he presents an interdisciplinary perspective on assessing listening and oral communication that cuts across language assessment, sensor technology, and generative AI. He also runs the YouTube channel “Statistics and Theory”, which received the John Cheung Social Media Award in 2020. Sanghoun Song
Korea University
Sanghoun Song is Professor of Linguistics and Director of the Research Institute of Language and Information at Korea University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Washington, specializing in grammar engineering for multilingual machine translation. He has held research and teaching positions at NiCT (Japan), NTU (Singapore), and Incheon National University (Korea). His work includes computational syntax and semantics, as well as domain-specific models. In recent years, he has been actively conducting research on the interplay between linguistics and large language models, with an emphasis on linguistic evaluation, experimental testing, and the societal impacts of language technology. Yoshihito Kamakura is a Linguistics professor at Aichi University, Japan. He obtained his doctoral degree in English from the University of Birmingham, UK, and specializes in corpus linguistics and cognitive linguistics. His publications include Collocation and Preposition Sense (Lambert Academic Publishing), Genius English Japanese Dictionary (5th edition, Taishukan) and a textbook Listen Up, Talk Back (Seibido).
Nur Hayati

Nur Hayati is a faculty member of the English Department, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Indonesia, and a member of the publication division of TEFLIN (The Association for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language in Indonesia). She obtained her master's and doctoral degrees in TESOL from Monash University, Australia. Her research interests encompass reflective practice, teacher cognition, teacher education and teacher professional development. Her recent publications include book chapters on reflective practice in TESOL-related policies (Multilingual Matters) and history of English language education in Indonesia (Routledge), and an article on language teacher educator identity as reflective practitioners (TESOL Journal).
Wipada Sutthiroj
Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK), Thailand
Wipada Sutthiroj is an English lecturer at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep and serves as the public relations lead for Thailand TESOL. She holds a Ph.D., M.Ed., and B.Ed. from Chulalongkorn University. Wipada is passionate about finding practical ways to enhance language education through technology. Her current research explores English for Specific Purposes, gamification, AI, augmented reality, and teacher training.
Jocelyn Wright
Mokpo National University, Korea
Jocelyn Wright is Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Mokpo National University, South Korea, and she is a lifetime member of Korea TESOL. Her interests lie principally in the intersecting fields of peace linguistics, peace (language) education, and peace literature. These led her to the Center for Global Nonkilling, new opportunities, and subsequent interesting pursuits, linguistic, educational, and literary. Recently, she has begun exploring applications of corpus linguistics, and she is excited to share some revelations related to her interdisciplinary work.
