What is the GSoC Alumni CAMP?

The GSoC Alumni CAMP offers a unique on-site collaboration for one and a half day, giving the opportunity for past GSoC participants (Mentors, Org Admins and Contributors) to share hightlights about their GSoC projects, connect, exchange ideas and help our community thrive while strengthening our open source ecosystem.

General FAQ

1. Can I attend the GSoC Alumni CAMP if I haven't participated in GSoC before?

No, only past GSoC participants (including 2026 participants) can attend this Alumni Camp. GSoC participants include current and former Mentors, Org Admins and Contributors. Previous confirmation is required to attend.

2. How can I attend one of these GSoC CAMPs in India?

The interest forms for these events closed in June. We are thrilled with the response from excited GSoC Alumni wishing to attend these first time events in India. 

3. Can I bring a friend or +1 to the Alumni CAMP?

No, please remember that this event is only for GSoC past participants that have been confirmed by the GSoC Admins.

4. Will you cover the cost of my travel?

No, Google will not cover any of your travel costs to attend either Alumni CAMP. You are resonsbile for getting yourself to the hotel and if you need a hotel night or two that is your responsobility to pay for.

5. Can you send me a visa invitation letter to attend these events?

No, Google will not issue any visa invitation letters for these events.

6. Can I attend both events?

No, you can only attend one of these two Alumni CAMPs in India. We expect a very high level of interest and we can only accommodate a maximum of 200 people at each location.

7.  Will Google cover my transportation to and from the hotel?

No, you'll have to cover your own transportation to attend these events.

8. Is parking available at the hotel? How much does it cost?

Yes, parking is available and free.
