Tristan Collins joined the University of Toronto as an Associate Professor in 2023. After completing his Ph.D in 2014 at Columbia University, under the supervision of Duong Phong, he held positions as a Benjamin Peirce Assistant Professor at Harvard University, followed by the Class of 1948 Career Development Assistant Professorship at MIT. Tristan's work focuses on nonlinear Partial Differential Equations and their connections and applications to differential and algebraic geometry. His work has been recognized by a Sloan research Fellowship, and the Andre Aisenstadt Prize.
