Green sustainable biotechnology is an enabling technology for manipulating biological systems used for producing valuable compounds, generating novel biological functions, synthesizing novel materials and biosystems, and integrating them in medicine, environment, agriculture, and numerous industries. This symposium is an annual event that brings together teams working in the frontiers of green sustainable biotechnology with an important focus of sharing recent challenges and progress with each other and stimulating formation of new ideas and partnerships.

The 15th International Conference on Green and Sustainable Biotechnology will be held on February 21-22, 2025, at the Second Building of Yuan Ze University in Taoyuan City. This event provides an opportunity for academic competition and academic exchange. In response to environmental protection, ecological conservation, and the implementation of sustainable development, we do not provide single-use bottled water at the venue. Participants are kindly requested to bring their own eco-friendly cups.

綠色永續生物科技研發團隊，其成立宗旨為致力發展綠色永續生物科技，「綠色永續生物科技」為利用生物體（含動物，植物及微生物的細胞）來生產有用的物質或製程的改進、生物特性的改良、降低成本及創新物種的科學技術，進行對醫學、環境、農業食糧等不同範疇提出新技術與貢獻。近年更朝著降低汙染及對自然環境無害的方向發展，主要內容為能源和環境技術的研究開發，其中特別指出綠色化學就是化學與永續發展的結合，其方向發展應符合改善人類健康和保護生態環境的要求。強調生物科技與產業應用的相關性，將「學術」與「產學結合」，加速「生物科技產業化」與「生物產業科技化」，以培養兼具「生物科技」和「產業應用」專業能力之人才。

綠色永續生物科技團隊每年舉辦一次研討會，其目的為增進團隊夥伴的研究成果交流分享。

2025年第十五屆國際綠色永續生物科技研討會將在2025年2月21 - 22日於元智大學二館舉辦，提供一個學術競賽與交流的機會，為響應環保、考量生態保護及落實永續發展，會場不提供一次性瓶裝水，請與會者自備環保杯。
