Tomohiro Otsuka is an Associate Professor at the Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR) and the Research Institute of Electrical Communication (RIEC), Tohoku University. His research focuses on experimental studies of semiconductor quantum devices and systems that utilize artificially engineered nanostructures. He employs informatics approaches for the optimization of materials and devices, as well as the control of quantum systems. Title: Informatics Approaches in Semiconductor Quantum Technologies

Abstract: In recent years, informatics approaches such as machine learning have been widely applied across various fields. In the field of semiconductor quantum technologies as well, these approaches are important for achieving large-scale and high-performance device and system integration. In particular, the advancement of semiconductor quantum systems requires automated analysis and tuning of quantum devices. Informatics methods, including machine learning, are effective tools for addressing these challenges. In this presentation, I will introduce such informatics approaches in semiconductor quantum technologies.
