Title: Towards the Realization of an Integrated Data Management Platform for Promoting Data Utilization

Abstract: In Japan, the importance of open science and data-driven research and education is being emphasized, and the open access of research data is being strongly promoted. Tohoku University, based on the idea that the university's important roles encompass both research and education, is advancing the development of an integrated data management platform. This platform aims to centrally manage and promote the utilization of diverse data, including educational data and operational data as well as research data. This presentation will describe the functions and features of the data catalog, which plays a crucial role within this platform. The data catalog facilitates the discovery and acquisition of necessary data assets by collecting and making searchable the metadata of various data assets, such as research data, educational data, operational data, content, and system data.
