For 2025, neither of the Northern Colorado blood donation partners (UCHealth and Vitalent) are available to support an in-person blood drive on the date of our Day of Service Saturday Sept 6. However, the need for blood is still significant. Therefore, we are supporting a 'virtual' blood drive with these two partners in order to satisfy the need for donations. Here are the details of possible opportunities with these two partners;

We will also be hosting a virtual blood drive with Vitalent, which will give access to several community drives that will occurring from Aug 15 to Sept 15 as well as the donation center in Greeley (and Boulder). Vitalent has about 115 donation centers nationwide and provides blood and special services to patients in about 900 hospitals across the U.S including Northern Colorado. During the Aug 15 - Sept 15 timeframe there are 14 community blood drives that participants and register for as well as daily slots in the Greeley Donation Center.

If you are unable to donate, a second option is to help us spread the word about the importance of and need for blood donations, either through word of mouth or through social media. Here are some key statistics you may wish to share:
One blood donation can save up to three lives
When you give blood, your donation helps patients across Northern Colorado.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion.
It can take up to two and a half days to test, type, and distribute blood after it’s donated. During an emergency it’s the blood that is already on the shelves that helps save lives.
