Loveland Willow Bend Park and Natural Area

For this year, the city staff decided it would be great to return to a former project site that was just opened up to the public.  On Aug 17, 2017, we had a group go to an over-run old farm property that needed lots of curly dock removed to become a future natural area. It is now Willow Bend Park and Natural Area which opened just a few weeks ago. They are hoping we might help them remove the last hillside of weeds (including curly dock) from an area that is hard for our equipment to reach, and do some sprucing up of the area.

This project will be at Willow Bend Park Sept 6, 2025 from 9am-12pm.   Here's 3 pictures from the 2017 project: 

General notes for all volunteers:  

Dress for the weather in layers, long pants, hat & sunscreen and sturdy shoes. Bring a filled water bottle and your favorite work gloves (they'll have extras). No experience necessary, all tools and materials provided.

As with all parks and most volunteer organizations, a waiver is required, which will be provided at check-in.
