How to Participate in the 2026 Hawes Talent Show
About the Hawes Talent Show
The Hawes Talent Show is a long running school tradition, boasting over 25 years of performances!
This year's show takes place Friday, June 5th, 2026.
The show is held during morning school hours. Parents are invited!
All students in grades K-5 are invited to participate.
We'll feature singing, dancing, musical instruments, magic, stand-up comedy, martial arts and more!
Acts can be solo or group acts. Each student may be in one act only.
Each act is limited to one minute.

Mon, May 4th: Online registration opens
Mon, May 11th: Deadline for registration
Wed, May 20th: Deadline for digital music submission
Tues, May 26th -or- Thu, May 28th: Auditions
Thu, Jun 4th: Mandatory Dress Rehearsal after school
Fri, Jun 5th: Performance
How to Participate
1) Register for an audition
Registration is open: Mon, May 4th - Mon, May 11th

2) Submit your digital music, if applicable
Dates: Mon, May 4th - Wed, May 20th
Any acts that require pre-recorded music must submit a digital music file by Wed, May 20th.
Music files must be in MP3 format, cut to one minute or less.
Please make sure the song lyrics are appropriate for school. Any questionable lyrics will be sent to Dr. Hansell to review and may be cut from the show.
At your audition, we will play your music from our iTunes console.

3) Attend your audition
Dates: Tues, May 26th -or- Thurs, May 28th, after school
Audition times will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. The schedule will be posted the Friday before auditions. All students at the auditions must be accompanied by an adult.

4) Attend Mandatory Dress Rehearsal
Date: Thu, Jun 4th, 1:45 - 3:15 pm. Once your act has performed, the student is allowed to leave unless otherwise stated by director. All students at dress rehearsal must be accompanied by an adult.

5) Perform!
Date: Fri, Jun 5th, 8:45 am
You will be pulled backstage, 8-10 acts at a time. Enjoy watching the rest of the show!
