About

WHAT:

• A Greater Toronto Chess League & Willowdale Chess Club event.

• Single Round-Robin tournament of 4 player TEAMS

  • • Maximum 11 rounds.

    • CFC-rated only (T/C is too fast for FIDE-rating)

• Time Control:  60 mins + 10 secs/move.

• Equipment:  

  • Boards provided by Willowdale Chess Club

  • Each team should bring two clocks

• Important:  Read the RULES.

WHO:

• Maximum 10 12 teams may register.

• Teams from any GTCL club, organization, or group.

• Teams consist of 4 players with any number of substitute players.

• Players must have CFC memberships that expire on or after March 25, 2025.

WHEN:

• TIMES:  Rounds start at 6:30 pm on Tuesdays (1 round per week)

  • • Games are defaulted after 30 minutes.

• DATES:  maximum 9 11 weeks :

  • • January 14, 21, 28

    • February 4, 11, 18, 25

    • March 4, 11, 18, 25

• $0.00  (GTCL will pay all the rating fees and prizes)

PRIZES:

• Trophy for all players on the winning team.
