On Saturday Sept 6, 2025, as part of the National Day of Service nationwide in September, the Loveland and Fort Collins stake will sponsor a food, goods, and funds drive to support The Food Bank for Larimer County who, in turn, support over 100 different organizations in Larimer County to help fight food insecurity in our community.

The Food Bank provides food to nearly 34,000 people in need through community partnerships and hunger-relief programs. Click here for a list of the most needed items (including fresh items accepted at the food share locations but not at our Food Drive)

The Fort Collins and Loveland Stakes worked together to bring two large trucks from Church headquarters in June with roughly 69,000 pounds of food, supplies, and frozen food, esp. meats. This was a great boost to the Food Bank, but the need is ongoing and increasing in light of government and grant reductions. It's time to increase the help to the hungry in our communities. September is hunger action month.

Donations of food, other supplies and funds can be made in several ways:
Bring donations to any of the following locations on the morning of Saturday Sept 6 during the hours of 9 AM - 12:00 PM :
The west entrance of the new Loveland Stake Center - Trilby building 6521 Carmichael Street Fort Collins (across Trilby Avenue from the Temple)
North entrance of the Loveland chapel on 1445 W 28th Street Loveland
West entrance to the Berthoud Building 550 Spartan Ave Berthoud
North entrance of the new Windsor Stake Center at 3800 Mountain Lion Drive Loveland
Lynwood chapel at 1400 Lynwood Drive for Fort Collins stake members
Make an on-line donation (each one-dollar donation provides ~$2 in food). Please go to http://secure.foodbanklarimer.org/goto/ChurchOfJesusChristLarimer25. That link will tie the donation to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Larimer County. If that link does not work, go to the Food Bank General Donation Link on their main web page Food Bank for Larimer County
Bring the donations to bins inside the back entrance of each building in the Loveland or Fort Collins Stakes either Sunday Aug 24 or Sunday Aug 31 (look for the Food Bank barrel)
We need some helpers in the buildings identified stakes between 8:30 and 12:30 on Sept 6. Click here for times and to sign up
There are some slots available to volunteer at the Food Bank on Sept 6. Those are also being made available to the public, so volunteer quickly. Slots on different days may also be available. To volunteer, go to foodbanklarimer.org/volunteer/ and complete the Family Group or Individual Application.
