Fu Jen Catholic University is Taiwan's first private institution to be ranked among the top universities globally and in Asia. It is also recognized by the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a popular choice for Taiwanese applicants. Nationally, Fu Jen ranks within the top 10-12% of higher education institutions, with its theology program ranked first in Taiwan and highly regarded worldwide.
Fu Jen pioneered Taiwan's first full educational system, from kindergarten to university, as well as several academic programs, including home economics and fine arts. During the Cold War, numerous Western scholars were sent to teach, bringing advanced academic perspectives to Taiwan.
