Dr. Chin-Yen Alice Liu chin-yen.liu@tamusa.edu
Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management - Department of Management and Marketing, College of Business
Dr. Liu grew up in Taiwan and completed her bachelor degree before coming to the U.S. for the advanced education. This faculty-led study abroad course allows students to learn directly from an A&M-SA College of Business professor who is a native of Taiwan while immersed in a new environment. All company tours, cultural excursions, and destination visits reinforce concepts for the coursework, broaden students' academic worldview to gain a new perspective, and prepare students to be the best of their own. A partnership with a local university will also bring A&M-SA and Taiwanese students together and develop new friendships which will last a lifetime.
Approximately USD $3,800 ~ $ 4,300 depending on the total number of students enrolled. The program cost will cover airfare, meals (all breakfasts, some lunches, and 4 dinners), lodging (twin-room accommodations), insurance, entrance/activity fees, transportation, tour guides and bus driver service fee/gratuity, etc. Students are responsible for their own expenses, meals not covered as part of the program, and the tuition for the course.
All students who are currently enrolled at A&M-SA with MGMT 4334 OR MGMT 4392 OR MGMT 5353 and who have been accepted into a study-abroad program are eligible for support from the International Education Fund (IEF) reserved for this purpose.
Students who complete their degree plan before departure or during their study abroad are not eligible. The Award’s Committee may make exceptions under special circumstances.
