Most mobile and other monetary transactions require a Korean bank account. We highly suggest you visit the on-campus Shinhan Bank to register for one. (opening & maintenance of an account in Korea does not require any payment)

Shinhan SOL Global (Shinhan Bank mobile banking app)
you can use this app for easy transaction and access to your account
you can use this app outside of Korea.
If you have remaining money after your departure, use this app to transfer the remaining money to your home account (make sure the bank allows international transactions via app)
*the debit card provided by the bank to international students is not a visa/master card
you will need to sign up for online banking services at Shinhan in order to use any online/mobile-based services after you receive your Registration Card

Shinhan K-Onepass Debit Card
The debit card that the bank will automatically issue will be this card on the right.
(A debit card only issued to foreigners residing in Korea; only for domestic use)
