Our recommendation
Buy a $9 parking permit in advance on the SDSU Parking Portal (this is link to register an account)
Park at Parking Structure 7 (Hardy Ave & 55th St San Diego, CA 92182) in an unmarked spot (unmarked spots are visitor parking)
Walk from Parking Structure 7 to the 2nd Floor of the Extended Studies Building (5701 Hardy Ave, San Diego, CA 92115)
Of course, many people have different needs and preferences, so please use the page to explore the best options for you!
As you drive down Hardy Avenue (a one way street), the Extended Studies Center is on your left. Do not park in Parking Structure 6. This is for faculty/staff parking only, and it is likely you’ll be ticketed. Instead, proceed to the end of Hardy Avenue, cross 55th Street, and park in Parking Structure 7.
Conference Location
We are thrilled to be hosting our conference at the American Language Institute, part of SDSU's Global Campus.
Our conference will take place on the 2nd floor of the Extended Studies Center. This address will take you to the correct building in Google Maps:
Parking on Campus
There are no free parking options on SDSU's campus, and you'll need to make some plans regarding the following:
Where you'll park
How you'll pay for parking
We've tried to break it down in the next sections so you can make the best choice for you!
This website has information about SDSU Visitor Parking: SDSU Visitor Parking
Where to Park
We recommend parking at Parking Structure 7. You can use this address to find it on Google Maps: Hardy Ave & 55th St San Diego, CA 92182
Feel free to use other parking garages on campus, which you can find on the SDSU Map.
However, be sure you're not parking someplace that's for staff/faculty only.
Visitor parking stalls are unmarked.
Visitor lots have a "P" on the lot marker sign.
Visitors may not park in spaces marked for Service/Vendor (S/V), Special Permit (SP), Electric Vehicle (EV), or Disabled Person (DP) unless accompanied by a special permit, DMV placard/plate, or are actively charging in an EV space.
