This is an era of great opportunities and challenges. On the one hand, digital technology has a profound impact on all aspects of economics, commerce and social life, and will eventually lead to productivity gains and generate new production relations. On the other hand, is unprepared for these changes, leading to a restructuring of the world economic order and growing uncertainty.
As digital technology penetrates, micro-foundation of the macroeconomies are changing profoundly. Enterprise boundaries and traditional supply chains are being dismantled, giving rise to platform economies and new synergies, while the identities of consumers and producers are being redefined.
The extent of digital economy development, along with its mechanisms, trends, boundaries, and challenges, remains a critical area of exploration. To foster better understanding and utilization of technology, and to prepare society for the most pressing problems, the world's top social scientists, technical experts, privacy experts, entrepreneurs and core management of the Alibaba economy, including six Nobel laureates, have confirmed their participation and will have in-depth discussions on the most important issues in the era of digital technology.
Together, the "Top Ten Questions on Digital Economy" will be published to the world to shed light on future directions for both theoretical and practical exploration.
