Percy Bady is a powerhouse in Gospel music—a prolific songwriter, producer, and performer known for shaping the sound of modern Gospel. Raised in a faith-filled Chicago household with a preacher father and Sunday School teacher mother, Percy’s musical journey began at just 3 years old, playing piano by ear and performing in church by 9.
Influenced by traditional Gospel and inspired by R&B, jazz, and funk, Percy’s love for music led him to master the keyboard on his own. His breakthrough came when Gospel legend Rev. Milton Brunson discovered him and invited Percy to join the iconic Thompson Community Singers, where he infused contemporary flair into their classic sound for over 15 years.
With a signature style that blends heartfelt worship and modern production, Percy has collaborated with Gospel greats like Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, and Fred Hammond, producing hits that defined a genre. Today, he continues to uplift and inspire through music, remaining a true visionary in his ministry.
