Welcome to this community of learners, and thank you for bringing your curiosity and knowledge to this collection of investigations. Your active participation in the conversation created by these projects is appreciated. Each year we take time to highlight the scholarly work of residents and fellows training at Ascension Saint Thomas. There are two segments this year -
- 2023 Research Symposium Week - April 21 - May 5, 2023, this virtual event allows attendees to view and comment on resident presentations via this website
- Ascension Saint Thomas Resident Research Day, May 5, 2023, 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm, in person live event with Keynote Address, Awards, and a Poster Session held at the Linda and Mike Curb Center for Advanced Medical Education, Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West

Continuing Medical Education
To obtain Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits, please complete the four steps below:
- Review the Learning Objectives, Accreditation and Credit Statements, and Financial Disclosures in the sections below.
- View the presentations and posters of your choice.
- Post at least one question or comment in response to each presentation or poster you view.
- Click the CME Evaluation button below to complete the CME evaluation.
Learning Objectives
Identify the connection and impact between scholarly activity and quality, equity, and innovation in patient care.
Identify opportunities, resources, and processes available for the development and execution of scholarly activity.
Develop strategies for engaging in and/or developing and executing scholarly activity in cooperation with medical and pharmacy residents and fellows training at Ascension Saint Thomas.
Accreditation and Credit Statements
Ascension Saint Thomas is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Ascension Saint Thomas designates this Other/Blended Learning activity, including enduring materials and a live course, for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Financial Disclosures
Ascension Saint Thomas is committed to providing CME that is balanced, objective, and evidence-based. In accordance with the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, all individuals who have the opportunity to control content are required to disclose any financial relationships within the past 24 months with ineligible companies whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients. Ascension Saint Thomas has established mechanisms to mitigate relevant financial relationships. All relevant financial relationships have been mitigated.
The planners, faculty, and moderator have no relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies with the exception of Frederick Masoudi, MD, who serves on steering committees for Bristol Myers Squibb.
